Again, "On Love"

I'm reading "On Love" by Alain De Botton

Lovers cannot do anything save from oscillating between the twin poles of yearning for someone and longing to be rid of them.

Changes Post Tonsillectomy:

-Chocolate tastes like dirt :(
-New fondness for tea (apart from the "Thai Ice Tea" variety which is a bit too strong for me)
-Super confusing sneezes- it doesn't know where to go.
-New ability to conceal small weapons in the back of my throat
-My throat's not sore in any way for the first time in 2 years.
-Greater appreciation for Eustatian Tube clarity.
