Sara sent me a link for this which talks about how these particular contemporary painters set up their palettes. I was amazed at how many colors they tend to employ, four or five of every color. Anyway, I scrolled down to the section on "Emily Eveleth" and didn't necessarily grasp what the image was of. (obviously a small pastry, but I'll be honest, I don't like jelly donuts. I'm unfamiliar.) I looked the artist up, and these works are beautiful. fleshy, rich, and sexual.
We're calling this the artistic kick in the butt, i needed.
These paintings make my skin crawl in the most pleasant way.
